With its long stretch of powdery white-sand beach, Sabitang Laya Island is one of the popular islands in Caramoan Peninsula. Its interesting limestone rock formations are one of the best features of the island. Sabitang Laya is composed of twin beaches. The entire island has a triangular shape. One side is occupied by Sabitang Laya beach while the other side is known as Bag-ing Beach. Truly, the beach is superb. If you are planning for an overnight adventure, the island can be a wonderful spot for camping.
The sugar-like powdery sand of Sabitang Laya is quite extensive. It extends up to two kilometers if combined with the shoreline from the other side. It is a perfect place for beach camping considering that it has two long stretches of beach in one island with a vast sandy shore in between. While waiting for the high tide to arrive, the best spot to relax will be under the huge balete tree in the island. This area in Sabitang Laya is rocky when compared to the other side. During low tides particularly in the afternoon, the motorized boat will not be able to sail since its propeller might hit the corals or seabed.
From the top, you can enjoy its lovely sight. You will see two shorelines and clear shallow water which extend into the distance. This caramoan island is surrounded by stunning rock formations. It has small rock formations which form interesting tall images and imposing jagged cliffs which are fun to climb. The triangular-shaped island is similar to an over-sized head of a kite. It forms two long strands of beach which are near to each other.
